On March 14, we hosted a Women’s Month Special Communication Workshop on the ABCs of Public Speaking. Facilitated by Oluwaseun R. Olusegun, a broadcaster and event compere, the session equipped our ladies with practical tools to communicate with clarity, confidence, and impact. As an organization focused on positioning women for leadership roles, we recognize that strong communication is essential. The workshop covered key areas such as pronunciation, intonation, articulation, confidence building, and overcoming imposter syndrome. Participants also explored common communication pitfalls including not reading the room, overusing filler words, not pausing while speaking, and not intentionally building a strong vocabulary bank. Through interactive games, speech exercises, and networking moments, the session created an engaging space for learning and practice. By the end of the workshop, our ladies left more aware and better equipped communicators ready to lead conversations and spaces. We extend our sincere appreciation to Oluwaseun R. Olusegun for such an insightful and engaging session, and to the Axon Integrated Services Limited (AIS) team for hosting us and providing their space. Thank you for supporting an inclusive tech leadership ecosystem. Now the question is: What will the next workshop be about?
